Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival Bus Trip
There is still room for you!
Call the store: (919) 782 2945 or stop by to sign up. See you, soon!
|
Ride the famously fun bus to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival on February 25! We take care of all the details....you just hop on board and enjoy the day!
Some particulars:
- Your $60.00 bus ticket includes admission to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival (a $14.00 value), a special gift from Bernina World of Sewing, a snack and bottled water, and a relaxing but fun time with a chance to win door prizes!
- You may sign up in person at the store or call us at 782-2945. Those in the store will get first preference. We will sign up telephone callers in the order they are received. Do not try to sign up by email.
- Your ticket is non-refundable and the bus will be going regardless of rain, sleet, or snow! If you find that you are unable to come, you may find a replacement to take your ticket, just be sure to let us know so that we allow that person on the bus.
- We will be loading the bus in our parking lot beginning at 6:30 am and will depart sharply at 7:00 am. This will allow us to arrive in Hampton around 11:00 a.m. The return trip will begin loading at 5:00 pm and depart sharply at 5:30 pm.
Although we do have a large parking lot, it would be helpful for you to carpool if you know of friends who are also coming.
Please park your car near the top of the parking lot, closer to Glenwood Avenue
- We will arrive back in Raleigh between 10:15 and 10:45.
Thank you for your participation! We look forward to having a great time with you!

In February
|
We spent a while with award winning quilt artist, Carol Straus. She has a passion for intricately designed doll clothes - and showed us some outrageously beautiful antique dolls/clothing! We learned how to care for our antique fabrics. Carol spoke about heirloom techniques...teeny, tiny piping; lace; tucks and such!

- Saturday Sampler
Held around the times of the Bernina Club. Our Saturday Sampler program begins every year in January.
Here are the rules for 2012!
- Come to one of the January meetings, pay $5 and pick up your block kit.
- Complete your block, bring it to one of the February meetings and attend the presentation and your next month’s block is free.
- If you do not complete your block by the next month’s meeting, you may pay $5 to receive the next month’s kit.
- If you are unable to attend a meeting you may send someone in your place to show your completed block and pick up the next kit for free. There is only one free kit per person per month; in other words, you may not pick up a free block for yourself and a friend.
We look forward to working with you in 2012 and seeing your beautiful work. Thank you, for your participation!

|
In 2011, we had two full-year "Gatherings".
Each of the Gathering's quilts were selected with two objectives firmly in mind:
1) Beautiful pieces and
2) Quilts that you might view as "once in a lifetime" happenings; Not necessarily quilts you would make on a regular basis.
For information about the 2011 projects, please go to:
