Question of the Week
All Published Responses - For Question of the Week May 19
The Question was:
What are your favorite presser feet for your BERNINA sewing machine -- and why?
|
My favorites are #20 and #57. The 20 to play, the 57 for speed piecing.

My most favorite pressor foot is Edge Stitch #10 ! I can do perfect top-stitching, join fabric edges together, create fabric by joining laces, etc. This foot never goes in my accessory box. It lives right on my sewing cabinet beside my machine!

My current favorite top 3:
#34 I use this in place of my all purpose foot. I like that it's clear and has a red line to indicate the center.
#57 I use this to make accurate quarter inch seams.
#88 Binder Attachment. This makes the coolest bias binding. Comes in 3 sizes.

I am a dedicated quilter so I had to have a quarter inch patchwork foot, (I use a #37) and a "walking foot".
I also like the #10 foot. Great for edge-stitching on garments, and it's
the best way to finish the edges of straps for purses and totes. I even
use it if I have to repair the stitching on purchased bags. Just place
the straps against the guide on the foot, then move the needle position
to the left as required to get the perfect placement for a professional
looking finish.
