Take your sewing for children or grandchildren to the next level with the really simple technique of sewing tiny pleats together to create a lovely gathered bishop dress. No need to invest in a pricey pleater, I'll do that part for you. Using the Children's Corner Bishop pattern, You choose your fabric, size and sleeve style. Pocket Travel Organizer Sat, Apr 27, 2024 10:30am - 4:00pm

Description This 3-Pocket travel organizer makes packing for a vacation a breeze! Not just for toiletries: organize and carry needlework, crafts and accessories too. It was designed especially for the L890 or combo serger ,but can also be totally constructed with a regular machine. For those with a combo serger, we will demo the different techniques the pattern discusses. PLEASE review pattern to see what serger feet are required. Otherwise, students can free-motion, use decorative stitches and satin stitch the front embellishments with a regular machine. Description The Tunic Bible book outlines wonderful techniques to construct many different garments from one basic “mockup” pattern. From cocktail dresses, long or short, summer versions, or tunic blouses, this book provides the patterns for all the different styles. Description All of your friends will be talking about this bag. The perfect travel size. Includes a sleeve for placing over the handle of your roller bag. Fits under the seat on airplanes. BOHO Bucket Hat Sat, Jun 15, 2024 10:00am - 1:00pm

Description Boho Bucket hat is a fun and fast project! Get ready for “where did you get that cute hat?” everywhere you go. Great project for young sewers or newbies! Simple pattern reading, cutting, and marking will be discussed. Tips on using fusible interfacing and sewing on curves are also covered. Students need to bring their own sewing machines in good working order. Serger Club Normally, First or Second Friday of Each Month Fri, May 3, 2024 10:00am - 1:00pm Fri, Jun 14, 2024 10:00am - 1:00pm

Description Time to brush off those sergers and learn how to use them at this once a month gathering. New skills and confidence will blossom as we work through the simple projects each month. This club is designed for participants to share knowledge and tips from other owners of similar machines. All brands are welcome with the understanding that instructor is most familiar with Bernina models. PLEASE bring your manuals. If there is a glitch, usually someone in the group has experienced it and we all work through it! Once you see what a serger can do, you'll be amazed! April Our first workshop will be constructing dinner napkins (rolled hem) and quilted placemats (serger applied binding with fusible thread technique) May Our May project, Bummies and Burps, will focus on using various techniques to sew on Knits. The Bummies are a 30 min. make using a serger! The Burp Pads use the leftover fabric to create a perfect Baby Shower gift set. You will re-fresh your skills of attaching binding with a serger and choosing the correct overlock stitches for each construction. June In our June project, we will be experimenting with some basic quilting ideas using your serger! Overlock stitches and cover stitches can be used to embellish quilting projects.
